Susana Rinderle, MA, ACC
MA, ACC | Coach Facilitator | California
I am an evolutionary, change agent, speaker, author, and coach. I help leaders and organizations solve a pressing problem or go from good to great through the power of inclusive leadership. I also coach women, people of color and Millenials to greater clarity, confidence, direction, and influence in a life or work area that matters to them. A native of Los Angeles, I’ve spent 25 years garnering meaningful results for employers and clients across the U.S. and abroad in multiple sectors including nonprofit, corporate, healthcare, education and government. I feel invigorated during moments of awe, awwwww!, ah-HA! and ha-ha-ha! – and facilitating such moments for others. I’m proud to have been featured at TEDxABQ 2012 speaking on “Diversity is Necessary for Human Evolution”.
I envision a world where every person receives all the knowledge and skills necessary to live their healthiest, happiest life, and fully contribute their unique gifts for personal and collective benefit. My life purpose is to learn and grow as much as possible and help others do the same, moving human evolution forward. My four innate superpowers are insight, empathy, humor and problem solving – which help me realize that purpose. Descended from a long line of oddballs and creatives, I’m both artist and scientist, and a big picture thinker with an eye for detail. I’m equally at home contemplating the forest and digging in the weeds, so to speak. I relish my identities as chameleon, stereotype buster and injector of whimsy.
I was the co-founder and first Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for University of New Mexico Hospitals (UNMH). I participated in the Disparities Leadership Program through the Disparities Solutions Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, and co-authored an award-winning diversity strategic plan. At UNMH I oversaw all health equity activities and cultural competence training. I started the LGBT Collaborative, founded and staffed the Health Literacy office and managed the 20-employee Interpreter Language Services department. Shortly after I left, UNMH was recognized as one of the Top 10 Hospital Systems by DiversityInc, and in 2014 was recognized as a Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality .
I’m known among my clients and workshop participants for being competent, knowledgeable, engaging or warm, passionate, effective, impeccable, and having high integrity. I’ve been called “a walking encyclopedia” and said to “push people, but gently.”
